  Ft Lauderdale

Ft. Lauderdale is also known to many as America’s Riviera due to its water ways around the city and the beautiful beaches all around. Ft. Lauderdale is one of the most popular gay men’s destinations not just in the U.S. but Worldwide.

Men come from all over to back in the amazing sun and swim in the warm waters of the Ft. Lauderdale beaches.  Ft. Lauderdale is more than gay friendly it boasts more than 100 gay owned businesses including hotels, shops and restaurants. In addition to Ft. Lauderdale there is Wilton Manors, which is becoming just as much of a gay “Mecca” as anywhere, with many bars and restaurant targeted to the gay traveler.

If you are visiting Ft. Lauderdale one thing is for sure you are looking to spend some time relaxing by the beach. There are many great beaches all throughout Ft. Lauderdale, including a few that are popular gay beaches. The Sebastian Street beach is one of the favorites of local gay men and those traveling to Ft. Lauderdale. There are also Terramar Beach which gets a lot of traffic from the local gay hotels, and the NE 18th beach very popular with the locals and known as a popular cruising spot.

Within Ft. Lauderdale there are many great men only clothing optional resorts that cater to your every need, making Ft. Lauderdale a very popular destination for gay men, other than the hotels, resorts and guesthouses, there is great shopping to be done, Olas Blvd is a shopper’s paradise, some even refer to it as Florida’s very own Rodeo Drive. There are also many other great LGBT owned restaurants throughout Ft Lauderdale and Wilton Manors.

Wilton Manors is becoming the area’s gay place to be, with many of the hottest clubs and bars along with some great shops and restaurants, while in Ft. Lauderdale you are sure to spend a good amount of your time in Wilton Manors, and if you stay here you may never even make it all the way to the beach.

If you're looking for the "A-list" gay high life, such as drug-frenzied dancing, celebrity-haunt hotels and bronzed, muscle-bulging boys, you won't find it here, and you won't be happy staying here and driving back and forth to play in Miami, where you will find the high life. Ft. Lauderdale is a kinder, gentler, and less-intimidating kind of gay destination, more popular with older gays, suburban gays and Midwestern gays. The nightlife here has a local, friendly feel, and is spread throughout the area. Victoria Park is the traditional gay residential neighborhood, home to older, more established gays and lesbians. Many younger gays have flocked to Wilton Manors in recent years, lured by inexpensive rent and home prices. What the city lacks in "gay cultural immersion" it makes up for with a huge range of mainstream attractions and diversions, almost universally gay-friendly.
